Hey Community,

We've put together a list of all of the payment options. Check it out:

1- Pre-authorized payment

You can register your credit card or banking information to have your bill automatically deducted each month. You can register in two ways:

  • Log in to My Account and click “Change Payment Method” under the Payment Information section. See here for detailed instructions
  • Call 6-1-1 from your Fido phone or 1 888-481-3436 and press 1 for our self-serve menu.

This option is ideal if you don’t want to worry about making your payment on time.

Follow the same steps to update or remove your credit card or banking information.

2- My Account application on your phone

Pay your bill while on the go using Fido’s My Account app. It’s as easy as clicking ‘pay now’ in the My Billing section and entering your credit card information.

3- On Fido.ca

Log in to My Account and click “Make a payment” under the Payment Information section. You can use your debit card, credit card or pay through your bank.

Using your debit or credit card is instant, making a payment through your bank takes 4 business days.

4- Using a credit card via our Interactive Voice Response System

Call *28 from your Fido phone or 1-888-481-3436 and press * for our self-service menu.

This payment method is also instant.

5- At your financial institution

  • For Internet and telephone banking:

First set up your account with your financial institution by visiting their website or by calling them. Have your Fido bill handy as you’ll need your account number to register. The payee is Fido Solutions.

  • For payments at the ATM or teller:

This payment method is only available to customers who receive a monthly paper bill. Your printed online bill will not be accepted as it is not encoded with a payment bar at the bottom. Therefore, you will need the original bill.

The payment will be applied to your account after approximately 5 business days for Internet and telephone banking payments, and up to 10 business days for ATM and teller payments.

6- By mail

If you’re feeling old school, send us your payment by mail. We accept money orders and cheques. Check out this page for the addresses.

For more detailed info on each payment method, feel free to check out our Payment methods page on Fido.ca

Lets say you do the automatic chequing through internet banking. You set it up to take 100$/month, but the next monthly payment. Your bill is around 105$. Do you increase the amount you set up in the bank or will fido automatically take the extra 5$ from your chequing account? If i do increase the monthly take-out, what would happen if the next payment has gone back to 100$? would fido refund my 5$?

Hey @PercyDan!

Welcome to the Community!

Unfortunately, I'm not quite sure I understand your question. Would you be able to clarify?

Thanks!

Sorry @FidoAmanda  I just realized auto correct hit me.

The question was using a Fido Pay as you Go card to pay a regular Fido account balance.

Is this possible?

Thanks

Ah! Now that makes more sense! Smiley

Prepaid airtime vouchers cannot be used toward paying your bill on a postpaid account. They are only meant to be used on prepaid accounts and, thus, there is no way to redeem the voucher on a postpaid account.

Hi There

Is it possible to split monthly total between two payment methods? My work pays part of my bill each month and right now I pay the bill and submit to my work for reimbursement for their portion. Instead I'd like to set up their contribution to come off my work credit card (same amt every month) and have the rest to come off my personal card. Is this possible?

Thanks

Sarah

Hi @batcat

That won't be possible, because two of things:

i) it's not possible to have two credit cards on the account

ii) even if you were to put only one, it still wouldn't be possible for us to charge you only a partial amount (the whole payment would be taken).

I hope this answers.

can one pay FIXED partial amount everymonth THRU PRE-AUTHOIZED CREDIT CARD?

This is a situation where a company is reimbursing partial amount against the bill.

Hey @BS9

Welcome to the Community! Smiley

If you would like to pay a specific amount every month through your bank or credit card, that is something you may be able to set up with your financial institution.

On our side, when you are registered to either forms of Pre-Authorized payments (Banking or Credit Card), the amount deducted each month will always be the full balance owing on the account at the time of the payment.

I hope this helps clarify things!
