Fido is some serious fail here. I’ve never had an issue getting a new phone from Fido on launch day before. But the company seriously has none for its customers? Seriously?
I have 4 lines on Fido and very much willing to switch carriers. I have a friend who literally just walked into Koodo and got the X yesterday, no problems.
Clearly Fido has no idea what they’re doing.
I was position 2 64GB Space Grey but have cancelled my reservation.
Walked into my local BestBuy this morning and a very helpful employee named Felix had me out of there with a brand new iPX in time for lunch. Felix was able to apply my loyalty discount on the spot and even hooked me up with a free charging pad.
I reserved the 64Gb Grey version as well. I was at the 50th place at the time of reservation, and now it's #35 status OPEN. I suppose it's solely because people in front of me cancelled their reservations. Don't think Fido has shipped out even a single one of iPhone X. I'll hope for the best, plan for the worst.
And I'm in downtown Toronto, thinking of the option of Best Buy as well.
From what I see on the Best Buy website and others' shared experience, you can get iPhone X at Best Buy as long as it's in stock.
