fido call history

does fido have call history? because for my sister for chatr she has this call history thing where she can check all incoming calls and outgoing calls and text etc..

HI,

 

        Some monthly postpaid plan, eventhough are not Unlimited, doesn't necessarily mean that the full detail of your calls & other usages will be shown on the invoice. Depending on when the Plan was created & taken, it may not have such feature included. But NOW, you can definitely request to have such feature added to your account at no additional cost.

you can contact Fido LIVE CHAT to have the detail billing option added to your account if you wish to do so.

        Keep in mind that all incoming/received calls information will not be shown due to the Canadian consumer information privacy law.

If you take a look at your call log, you will have both your incoming and outgoing calls.

My daughter is with Koodo and they offer daily call and text history and that includes all incoming calls.Why doesn't fido offer that?

We cannot comment other companies' sevices, but as mentioned above, I can say that we do not provide incoming call logs because of Canadian privacy regulations.

I just started with Fido and what a run around to try to get call details on my bill.

Ièm fine with outgoing calls but have been told twice that it canèt be done and once that it will show up on my first real bill.  Two bills later and a lot of time wasted makes me wonder why I chose Fido.

If you're registered to My Account on Fido.ca, you can simply click on the PDF version of your bill to see all your charges and calls details.

 

You will be able to see the numbers only for the outgoing calls.

I believe your answer " we cannot comment on other companies" is completely unacceptable, you should know how other companies are being operated...

to better your services and keep up to date and be competitive

explain why fido doesn't know exactly the what the privacy laws are... i expect you dont want the hassel of keeping a multitude of data....

I just called fido to request detailed billing to my unlimited plan and they said no. They won't be able to add it as it's an unlimited plan. What is the truth?

I'm sorry that you were misinformed. It is indeed possible to add detailed billing to your plan. I invite you to contact customer service via live chat. You'll see the option to do so after logging in to your account on fido.ca.

I just chatted with a rep about this.

My plan is limited.

Was told that calls within my plan are not stored or available on invoice, since they are irrelevent to billing.

Any calls over plan limits that are billed are shown with call detail including phone numbers.

No option to see "in plan" call details.

Hello Ann0607,

 

  Welcome to the community!

 

  Unfortunately, I don't think it would be possible to delete the call history from your account. You could delete the history from your phone, but a record would still have to be kept on file. I imagine there would be possible legal issues as well as the billing issues associated with what you are requesting.

How can inreview my call history?

Hey Drewkryger!

If you do not have an unlimited plan and have a plan from before March 1st, 2013:

- On paper invoices: The call history is within the last pages of the invoice.
- On online invoices: In order to access your call details, you would have to log in to My Account on Fido.ca. Once the page reloads, click on View online bill, View Invoice and Download PDF next to the invoice number. Please note that you will require having Adobe Reader installed in order to proceed.

If you have an unlimited plan or a plan offered after March 1st, 2013:

You would have to request that detailed billing is added to your account in order to receive the call details on future invoices. For past months, you can request that a detailed invoice is printed and sent to you by the mail. To do so costs $4 plus tax per month requested.
