Please provide more information so we can better understand your problem.
Are you having trouble receiving text messages on your iPhone? Or, are your having trouble receiving text messages from someone else who is using an iPhone?
First step - using your own phone, send a text message to your own number. What happens?
Second step - come back and report the outcome of the above test and provide more information to us:
- Description of problem
- Model of your phone
- Are you able to send text messages ok?
- Was it ever working before?
You mentioned you both have new iPhones... did you happen to port-in your number to Fido when you recently activated? If you did, that could explain the issue. When a number is ported-in from another carrier, the SMS (text message) service can behave a little erradically during the first 24-48 hours. Then once the dust settles everything goes back to normal.
If you did not port your number, or, if it has been more than 48hrs since you activated, then please reply back after having done the same test I proposed above (send text to your own number and reply back here with the results).
