I'm a Participant Level 3

calls not going through

my husband and i both have the same phones. samsung gt - s7560m. they are prepaid. we have both been missing phone calls, have people telling us they have called and it rings twice and goes to voice mail. is there a setting to change to fix this? we have both shut our phones off and nothing has changed

Hello vicsimpson,

 

Very sorry that no one has been able to give you a solution to this problem.  This is actually a very common issue.  The problem is your either your voicemail or call forwarding(usual cause).

 

1. Dial #21#, this disables call forwarding.  Now I understand that you may not have activated call forwarding but accidents happen and phones sometimes are mysterious creatures lol Wink

2. If it is a bug in your voicemail, then you would have to reach out to us on Facebook or Twitter so as to have your voicemail option reset, this would delete any saved and/or unheard messages and your greeting so be sure you've listened to everything or it will be lost.

Do you know if the phones had a strong signal when this happened? Is the issue ongoing?

i have no exact times people tried calling so i have no way of knowing but yes it happens numerous times a day. when we tried to get it looked at at the booth in the mall we were told there must be no money on our accounts and they wouldnt even put our info in the computer to look it up. we both have full plans, with unlimited incoming calls lol and neither my husband or myself have propoerly working phones. 

we were also told in the store when we purchased them that since we were buying them, we could switch on the sim cards with any other company because it is unlocked...well they are not unlocked, which we found out after purchasing new sim cards through a different company thinking that fido just doesnt work.  we are selling our phones and will not be going through fido again. most dishonest and rude sales people ever!!

I am having the same problem, my calls are not going through, people call the first time and it goes to voicemail, which they cannot leave a message. If they call again, then the phone may ring...I just got a long ditance Canada wide plan, yet people callling me in my local area are charged extra, nothing makes sense, and no help trying to understande the staff working on the phone lines....they are not interested in really helping ...this is the worst service I have ever had with Fido...
