Will this phone be adequate for Fido's Network?

Hello, I'm a bit confused with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro's compatibility with Fido's network.

Below are it's frequencies.

GSM 900/1800/1900MHz

WCDMA B5:850/B8:900/B2:1900/B1:2100MHz
CDMA BC0

FDD LTE B3:1800/B1:2100/B7:2600MHz
TDD LTE B38:2600/B39:1900/B40:2300/B41:2555-2655MHz

Thanks.

Hello Slevinovich,

  Welcome to the forums!

Judging by those specifications, that phone would have both of the compatible bands/frequencies for '3G' while only one compatible band/frequency for 2G (band 2, 1900 MHz).

With regards to LTE, @FidoMaria is correct, that phone would only have one compatible band/frequency (band 7, 2600 MHz). You can also verify the compatible bands/frequencies here. I understand that 2100 MHz is listed as a frequency for that phone, however, it is on band 1 and not compatible with Fido/Rogers' use on band 4. Band 4 requires 1700 MHz to function properly. I have previously written in various threads regarding the bands/frequencies. Feel free to peruse them for more information.

**edit** So while the phone would work on the networks, coverage would depend on the frequencies of the surrounding towers as well as your location in relation to those towers.**

  Hope this helps Smiley

Cheers

Good morning Slevinovich & welcome to the Community. Smiley

From the specs you gave me, it seems that your phone will be compatible with our GSM network. For LTE, your phone is only compatible with one of our frequencies.
