Upgraded to Nexus 5 - Data issues

Two months ago, I upgraded my phone to iOS and my phone has suffered in data speed. At first thought it was due to the upgrade but then the whole rogers network down happened. I decided to go Android-Nexus 5, assuming it was an iOS thing, but now I can't even get data on my phone. This has been increasing frustrating and I am starting to think its Fido network as opposed to the device. Anyone have thoughts?
