I recently unlocked my samsung galaxy S4 like yesterday and it's come to my attention that the data keeps turning itself off every so often after I restart my device. I have also read other forums saying it's the kitkat update problem but honestly I haven't really had a problem until I unlocked my phone. What should I do...I need my data! It won't connect to LTE even when I have all the data options on.
Not sure if the menu changed in KatKat, but try this:
- Go to settings
- In the category "Wireless and networks" go to "More settings"
- Go to "Mobile networks"
- Go to "Access Point Names"
- Open the selected APN (probably Fido LTE)
- If the APN is set to "fido-core-appl1.apn" then change it to "ltemobile.apn" or "ltedata.apn" (without the quote marks of course)
Does that fix it?
