Hi there, I had my Fido iPhone 6 unlocked a few months ago so that I could switch to another carrier when travelling for business in the United States, as an alternative to purchasing a Roaming Pack. Are there any tips or tricks for switching to (say) a Verizon or T-Mobile pre-paid SIM card? Or is it as simple as powering down the phone, replacing the SIM card, and powering up / activating?
Thanks in advance!

It's true, you don't need to power down. It will find the network more efficiently if you put your phone into airplane mode, swap out the sim card and then turn airplane mode off. In my 10 years of swapping a Tmobile sim with my Fido, I have found that is the most reliable way to connect to the US network.
