Recently I switched to one of these newer plans that include Spotify for free for 6 months then 9.99/month.
I do NOT need or use this service. It is not activated (unless it is by default by Fido).
Do I need to cancel this somewhere, so I wont get billed after the 6 free months??

If you've never activated your free subscription to Spotify Premium, there's nothing to do on your side. You won't be billed after the 6 months period is over.
