So much to pay, why?

Hi,

I just noticed that I have $258.33 to pay this month! I don't know why.

I looked at my bill.

Zone 3 Daily Internet Rate:                      5msg                    $49.95

Roaming Text Messages - sent:              162msg                $121.50

Data billed - Int'l roaming:                        21.73MB               -

U.S./Internal roaming charges:                3:00 min:sec         $9.00

__________________________________________________________________________

                                                                                              $180.45

Plus my monthly charges $45.40, my total payment is $258.33 after tax!

I don't understand this $180.45, I have the Fido Pulse BYOP plan for $40, and the Value Pack for $5 which I think it includes unlimited text and name display.

So why would I be charged an extra of $180.45 anyway? Besides, I did turn off the roaming option. It's weird to have those numbers shown on my bill this time.

Please help me figure out what's going on.

Thank you very much!

It seems like you were roaming in our Fido Zone 3, which is : Asia, Caribbean, Latin America, Mexico, Oceania & Middle East.

Zone 3 Daily Internet Rate:  5msg  $49.95

This is about the roaming data usage charge. it is 9.99$ for each day, with maxmimum 10MB data in zone 3

Roaming Text Messages - sent:              162msg                $121.50,

This is text message sent while roaming.

While you were roaming aboard, each text message sent  is charged for 0.75$.

Therefore 162 message x 0.75 = 121.5$

U.S./Internal roaming charges:                3:00 min:sec         $9.00

This is calls made or recieved while roaming.

It is 3$ per minutes for zone 3 roaming.

You sent a lot of expensive texts while roaming. That's why your bill is no high. Always avoid roaming.

(and disabling data roaming doesn't disable text/voice roaming, but you appear to have known this since you continued to send texts while you were overseas)

Did you use your phone out of the country and send 162 text messages because it would appear so. Unlimited text is only from within Canada.
