Smart vs. Standard plan

Sorry if this has already been answered, but I can't find info if it has;

Why is the $39 standard plan called a smart plan and costs $6 more?  I can't see any difference between the two plans.

The 'consequence' is a larger subsidy on a phone.

Just as Paolo and credmau5 explained above, If you take a Tab24 on a Standard plan you receive a smaller subsidy than if you took a Tab24 on a Smart plan.

Actually, the STANDARD plans give you a lower subsidy on phones. The SMART plans give you a much larger discount.

yes the smart plans give u much larger discount on the hardware but they also cost much more per month as a catch. so that snazzy i phone or galaxy u want will cost you 85-100 per month instead of $35 per month which i am happily paying for, for my cheaper phone

Standard Plans DO Not require A 2 Year Data Term

But it seems to me that with a Tab24 agreement, there is no difference between the two except that data is month-to-month in the standard plans while it is a 2-year agreement in the smart ones. I'm not sure what the consequences of having the data as a 2-year agreement would be.

It will be charge every month?

Hey SVALaval2,

These are monthly plans so yes you would get a monthly charge. Is that what you mean?

The are the same. The difference is the extra $6 allows you to get a small subsidy on a lowend phone on contract.
