Samsung galaxy core not sending texts.

I recently purchased a samsung galaxy core from a fido store. I repeatedly asked if this phone was good or had any issues. The representative clearly stated the phone was excellent, and did all the basic functions as my previous phone. I have been repeatedly having issues sending and receiving text. How do I fix this issue? I am not satisfied with this phone. What happens when I need to send a text in an emergency?

I would appreciate it if fido could help me with this issue.

What exactly are the issues you get when trying to send a text message? Do you get an error message? Does it happen with all messages you try to send? Are you having any issues with receiving them?

The more info you give on the issue, the better we'll be able to fix it.
