Samsung Galaxy S6 stuck on 4G

So since December 2 my phone is stuck on 4G, my VOLTE doesnt work anymore. Each time i enable it and register my number it goes back to off. 

 

i changed my simcard, check the APN, did a network reset, called fido level 2 support. NO SUCCESS.

 

anyone out there knows the fix? i'm not going to factory reset my phone if that doesn't solve the issue.

What software version are you using? Can you make sure you have the latest one?

Can you check what your SVN number is. You can find it by dialing *#06# on your device, it's the two digits after the IMEI number. 

 

The Android 7.0 update provided a fix in regards to users not being able to dial 9-1-1 on our LTE network. If your SVN number is lower than 77 , the software release didn't fix it and you will have to go in store to get the software flashed! Then, LTE should be working.

so i did a factory reset and now my LTE is back, my imei last 2 digit is now 82. the only issue is that when i do a call it goes back to 4G and when i hang up it's back to LTE. ill wait a couple of days to see if that will get fix.

what are the correct APN settings? there's so many out there i'm not sure what are the best settings and whats the difference is each of them.

The APN settings for LTE would be LTEMOBILE.APN

Did you get a chance to test the SIM in a different Fido phone as well?

So the fido store i when to change my simcard but never testes it, they said it's the same card. i called level 2 support the other night and they said my simcard is not LTE and not VOLTE, i when back to the fido store and they said it's the only card's they have and not for some reason my WIFI calling doesn't work it keeps going off. any setting i should check? i keep registering my phone number on the website and receive a pin each time.

Can you test the SIM card in another phone? Are you mean you're also experiencing difficulties with Wi-Fi calling or are you still referring the the VOLTE? 

 

Also, you do have an LTE SIM card if you're able to access LTE data. Smiley

it's / 20  i can do a back-up this weekend and do the flash myself, ill download the latest verson on sammobile and get odin to flash my phone, i did it before and i'm confortable doing it again, i will let you know for sure if that solved the issue.
