Samsung Galaxy S4 visual voicemail not working.

Hey Fido,

 

I have an on going issue with my visual voicemail on my S4.  I have subscribed to the visual voicemail pack for $4/month and I still keep getting alerts that I have a voicemail through my phone application.  I check my fido visual voicemail app and it says I don't have this service and to call customer service which they advise to reset and take out the sim wait a few minutes and restart.  upon resetting the phone again i receive alerts saying i have a voicemail and i even tried calling to check my voicemail and there isnt a message in there.  please can someone help has this is getting annoying because i had to disable the notifications from my phone app because it keeps chiming saying i have a voicemail defeating the purpose of having a phone.

I am having the exact same issue.  I have talked to Fido several times and they really seem to have no idea how to fix this.They suggested I uninstall the Fido VVM app and reinstall but that isn't possible.  They have reset things from their end but no fix.  I sure hope they take this seriously and fix this soon.

Same here, But still, custome support still insist in selling the package even though it doesn't seem to work.  I will most likely cancel my package, after paying for it for 3 months Sad

So what are we supposed to do in the meantime? I signed up for this service in January and have never had it work.  What's the timeline here?  Why is this offered when its obviously so buggy and clearly an underdeveloped app? I just wasted yet more time with a customer rep who tried a couple of things, but it felt like she was just taking shots in the dark.

This is incredibly annoying.  I'm having the same issue.  It's almost like there are two competing voicemail programs at once on my S4.  I'll get a notification from Fido VVM saying I have a message.  I can read it, listen to it, and delete it.  In other words Fido's VVM works just fine.  But I'll also get a voicemail notification icon popping up from the S4's voicemail app where, if I click on the notification, it dials Fido's oldschool voicemail retreival number only to tell me that I have no messages... The only way I can then delete this notification is if I clear the phone cache.

 

Please get a fix for this ASAP.  It's super annoying.  I'm actually starting to get voicemail notifications for no reason now even when I don't have a voicemail message.

Same issue on my S4... Just spoke with customer suppirt and they said it is becsuse they add an iphone package to an android phone. Suppose to be fine by midnight...

I was advised it's not available on androids any more by a fido agent.
