Samsung Galaxy 3... Battery Dead ??

Our Spare Phone, A Samsung Galaxy 3 We've had it since Fido 1st Offered It.. It's been sitting unused for a couple of months now, consquently the Battery is Dead.. Plugged The Charger in to No Avail for a couple hours.. Screen shows Grey Battery & Background , Round Circle / Gear stuck ?? Not Charging ?? Would pulling Battery Pack out and re incerting kick start whatever to Recharge ?? Thoughts & Ideas Appreciated, Cheers Thanks..

  Lithium-ion batteries, like the ones you'll find in a Samsung Galaxy S3, will usually degrade over time, with expected life spans of just 2 to 3 years.

 

  You could try to remove the battery and then re-inserting it to see if it will recharge, however, it's likely the battery will need to be replaced. You should still be able to find a battery for the S3. Some local mobile phone shops might carry them or else they should be available through Amazon or eBay or the like.
