Root Beer Ribs
2 tbsp chili powder (hot if you like spice)
1 tbsp sweet paprika
1 tbsp ground cumin
1 tsp salt
3/4 tsp ground black pepper
4 lbs backribs
1 (12 oz) bottle root beer
For sauce:
2 tbsp chili powder (hot if you like spice)
1 tbsp sweet paprika

1 (12 oz) bottle root beer
1 (18 oz) bbq sauce
1/2 cup water
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp espresso powder
Directions:
1. Perheat oven to 400 degrees.
2.To make the rub,combine the first 5 ingredients. Rub spice mixture over ribs.
Place ribs in roasting pan or dutch oven.
Pour root beer into the bottom of pan
( not over the ribs)
Cover pan tightly with foil. Bake ribs for 1 to 1 1/2 hrs until tender and browned.
To make the sauce, stir barbeque sauce, water, brown sugar and espresso powder in a heavy saucepan.
Cook 10 mins
Heat grill to medium heat.
Brush ribs with sauce
Grill ribs until heated through, about 5 minutes per side. serve ribs with remaining sauce.
