Hi there! I hate tacking this on to this long thread, but it seems be exactly what I'm asking for.
I understand that it may not work, but as it's been offered to others, I figured it would be good to ask.
I have 2 S8+ devices, that if possible, I would like to try to add the IMEI numbers on your end in hopes to get access to Wifi Calling.
Anyway someone can PM me... I would LOVE to share the info and hopefully we can try to get it working.
I have a OnePlus 6 and is interested in using VoLTE. It seems like previouly people have been asking about 1P5, and they get the mod to PM to try to work something out. Is it still possible to do that?
So I found out that all Huawei phones support Wifi calling but the option has been disabled in settings by Fido.
See below the hidden setting for wifi calling (that can be accessed though shortcut maker)
Any chances to have any insights on why this is disabled? Last time I asked support I was told that the Huawei phones do not support wifi calling but that doesn't seem to be the case.
Hey @CadErik ,
I moved your post to this thread, you can find all the phones that are compatible with Wi-Fi calling in the accepted solution.
Actually, I did not find this thread before and makes me even more curious. If the Huawei P20 has Wi-Fi calling enabled why aren't the other models? The software + OS are exactly the same.
Wi-Fi calling services vary on the device capabilities. We also work with device manufacturers to bring this capability to our customers and currently offer it on the devices listed above.
We'll be sure to update the list as we continue to work with more manufacturers so we can bring this capability to even more devices.
