Prepaid not working

Hello, I rececently bought a SIM card and a $20 prepaid card for one of my relatives using my old fido phone and I set everything up online. I got an email saying that everything is confirmed but the thing is that I don't see that the phone has any service nor is it showing the phone number that I chose when registering the SIM card. Should I call customer service about it?
