Hey, my phone's service may have been suspended due to unpaid bills. Will i be charged even though i dont receive the service or will it be free of charge until i reactivate my phone?

Your monthly services will continue to be billed.
I have the kinda similar situation but the only difference is I suspended my service due to my phone got stolen. In not in a contract with them cuz I bought my phone from apple. And now when I got my bills , I saw that they still charging me even I suspended my service a month ago. Can someone please help me find out if they have the right to still charge me cuz to me, I think that’s insane.
Hi there @Mave6969 and welcome to the Community!
Reporting your phone lost or stolen means a restriction is added to your account. The purpose of this restriction is to prevent anyone from using your misplaced phone. In other words, your phone is "locked" until you find it, or replace it.
Reporting your phone lost or stolen does not cancel your account, which is why the invoicing continues.
I hope that clarifies!
id say its not specific to fido, so no need to blame them, its pretty much common practice among all of the wireless carriers to suspend for non-payment, heck it even says in the terms of service you agreed to that this can and will happen, did you not read that?
Lots of us have financial hardships too, your not the only one. I too went through tough times. What I did was scale back my cellphone plan, instead of paying 100/mo for all the bells and whistles and latest calling plans i scaled it back to $25 a month, it was less painfull on my wallet, yes i had to sacrifice features and talk time and i had to settle for a dinky used phone worth $20 bucks instead of the flashy fancy iphone that everyone else was using. but i managed to pay my bills on time and when i couldn't i would call up customer service and let them know. posting a message on here is not the same as calling customer service, they have no idea about your financial situation unless you specifically call them, they will not know because of a post you made on a public board, especially since they have no way of knowing who you are as well.
Thanks for the insight man. I'll call them and figure all this out.
So you signed a 2-3 year contract agreement saying that you'd pay your bill each month, then when you didn't pay they suspended your service, and now you're mad because they suspended you because you haven't been paying?

I must have missed it in the sea of fine print text. Then again it's still rediculous that I have to pay for a service that I don't even have.
Wait a sec, I am pretty sure tyou said you didnt pay. so i think your mixed up, if you DONT pay, your service gets suspended, if you PAY, you get re-connected, pretty simple, eh?
