Phone not working after port Mobilicity

I was using uplock Oneplus 3 on Mobilicity and last night I port the number to Fido, and it has not been working since. No service - selected network (Fido) unavailable. The screen does show Fido and LTE though.

Call Fido and spent an hour but no result. Any idea?

thanks

Yes it's been resolved on the next day. Customer service opened a ticket to Technical and that evening I can make calls and connected. not sure what they did in the back ground. all good now.

thanks for following up

Hello Stephenlaw,

  Welcome to the community!

  I understand you ported your number last night. While it usually only takes a couple of hours to complete a port in, it could end up quite a bit longer. You can refer here for additional information regarding number porting. You can try to check the status of your port using the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system by calling 1-888-481-3436 from a different phone.

  Hope this helps Smiley

Cheers

Re: Phone not working after port Mobilicity

I talked to 3 different Fido CS this morning and the number was ported, all ready to go expect my phone shows Fido LTS on the screen but also said Network porvider not available.

The last CS talked to Technical dept and metioned there is a glitch and need 24 hours to fix it. not sure what that means

Hi @stephenlaw & welcome to the Community!

What exactly happens when you try to use your phone? Do you get an error message?

Re: Phone not working after port Mobilicity

when I make a call, it says "Cellular network not available", even though the status bar shows Fido LTE

Re: Phone not working after port Mobilicity

@stephenlaw Before the port-in was completed, was the temporary number working?

Re: Phone not working after port Mobilicity

@stephenlaw Hmm alright.

Since you've already spoken with 3 reps, I'm assuming that some troubleshooting has been done. Can you let me know what was done so we don't go over the same things again? Smiley

Re: Phone not working after port Mobilicity

what I can remember:

- CS double check sim card number, I shut off phone while CS refresh the network

- Changed APN number

- power on/off phone a few times

Re: Phone not working after port Mobilicity

@stephenlaw Thanks for the info!

I'm not familiar with your phone, but is it possible to reset your network settings? Also, would you happen to be able to test your SIM card in a different phone so we can determine where the issue lies?
