Was on Fido Live Chat trying to sign up for a plan, and before even discussing the different plans, the agent sent a link requesting Birth Certificate #, Canadian Passport #, Credit Card #, Expiry date and the 3 numbers on the back. I don't recall having to provide all this info even when purchasing expensive items. Fearing that the Fido site had been compromised, I terminated the chat with Erica.
Is this the norm?

Hi @Ja604 & welcome to the Community!
We'd only ask for your first name, last name, date of birth and postal code, or your account PIN. All other info would only be required if you're opening a new account since we'd need to do a credit check.
Hope this clarifies!
