I just moved from Koodo to Fido two days ago, I kept the same number. In the first day my friends who are using Telus and Wind could not reach me, other carriers worked fine. When they dialed it said that the number is out of service or temporarily available. I called Fido customer care and they said that the porting takes time and it would be done by yesterday 10 pm. In the next morning I talked another technical customer care with the same problem. They said that the porting is complete. The problem my friends are having is a problem with their carrier not in Fido's end. Today I tried with 3 more Telus number and a Fido customer care landphone and they could not reach me. It said the same thing again. Did anyone face similar problem?
@samiulanik if you call someone what number do they see? If they can see the number you ported in then something weird is happening you can as Fido to reset your profile and see if that helps.
Porting can take up to 10days to be complete but to be honest all the ports I ever done once done correct took like 15-30min.
