My email notification on my fido account was changed without notice

After paying for my phone bill the screen showed a diffrent email address where it will send the confirmation of my payment, I never changed my email address so now I feel unsecured that my account might have been hacked.

Rest assured that only the account holder and authorized contacts (level 1 and 2) can update the the e-mail address on file. We won't allow access to the account to an individual who can't provide the required identification information.

This happened to me as well... my emailed was changed when i was paying my bill and my payment notification was sent to that email.

Hey there @phylly,

 

That's really odd. Were you able to correct your email via your profile page? Here's how:

 

Sign into my Account - click on Profile and Settings at the top - click on the pensil icon next to Contact Information

Yes, I changed it. Are you able to look into this for me? because the fact thatt someone is able to access my account with my personal information in there makes it unsecure and me uncomfortable as a Fido customer.

Same thing happened to me - noticed a coworker's email on my payment on-screen notification after paying my bill online. After that I checked my billing data, and saw that my email and phone # were replaced with my coworker's.

 

I reached out to him, and turns out, he got both my March and April Fido emial invoices (which I didn't get), but trashed them thining these were spam messages. He forwarded them to me, and these were really legitimate but supposed to be sent to my email address. We assumed his info might have been somehow pulled from my phone contacts.

 

I updated my email and phone # info in my Fido account back to my info, and changed my password. 

 

Not happy Fido didn't notify users of the issues, and I worry about my creidt card data now as well.

I wouldn't be worried about your credit card information, since that information is securely encrypted.

Sorry, read that wrong.  What I am trying to do is change my email address with you.  As I have on line billing it is imperative I make this change with you.
