Recently my iPhone4 got stolen so I have to use a HTC touch diamond 2 windows phone. Everything else works, except for data. APN is internet.fido.ca password and username is fido. I get the following error message:
Canot connect for an unknown reason. To check your connection settings and change them if needed, tap Settings. If the problem continues, reset your mobile device according to your manufacturers documentation and try again.
Is the phone unable to connect to Fido? Do i have to buy a new phone?

I know this post is pretty old but I would like to provide some additional information in case anyone else would like to use this device on the Fido network in the future.
I have checked the specifications for this device and it is able to connect to 2G on the 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz frequencies and 3G on the 900 / 2100 MHz frequencies. The Fido network uses 850 MHz and 1900 MHz for both 2G and 3G thus, as long as you have the proper internet settings configured under the network settings on this device, you would have access to data but only on the 2G network as this device does not have access to 3G on a compatible frequency.
