Today I went from 'pay as you go' to a monthly plan.  I received an email and in it, it states You will shortly receive on your Fido phone a text message with your fido.ca temporary password. Use it the first time you login.

I already had access to Fido for years - do I need to do this again?  plus I did not receive a message on my phone.
