Marshmallow for HTC One M8? What's the holdup?

Telus/Koodo rolled out marshmallow 3 days ago for their lucky HTC One M8 owners. When can we expect Rogers/Fido to catch up? Why does it seem like we're always behind everyone else in terms of updates? Marshmallow has been availed to GPE edition of the One M8 for months now.
