Hey VL3!
I know this is an old post but I would like to provide some more information in case anyone else would like to use this model on the Fido network in the future.
I have taken a look at the specifications for this device. This device has access to 2G on the 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz frequencies and 3G on the 900 / 1900 / 2100 MHz frequencies. Fido used 850 MHz and 1900 MHz for GSM, UMTS, HSPA and HSPA+ thus the device will function on both the 2G network and the 3G network. However, since this device only has access to one of the frequencies used for the 3G network, the 1900 MHz frequency, the availability of this connection may depend on your location and the frequency used for 3G in that location.
Hope this helps!

No it didn't answer my question completely but thank you for the reply.
It is the problem that I can't even load my fido account app. Also the data is so slow with that phone...would you able to advice why ?
The phone support Cellular;Networks: GSM850, GSM900, GSM1800, GSM1900, UMTS2100 (B1)
Please & thank you!!!
Hey VL3,
Based on the frequencies you posted, the phone is compatible with our network. Have you tried doing a manual network search and selecting Fido from the list?
Also, could you post the APN settings that you added to your phone here?
At this point I would suggest trying your Fido SIM card in a Fido phone to see if you get the same data speeds. If not, then it would be an issue with your phone. If you do have the same issue with a Fido phone, then I'd suggest contacting our suport team at 1-888-481-3436 from any phone apart from your Fido phone to troubleshoot within your account.

Thank you so much for ur response.
But it is wired that when I connect with a wifi network the speed is great around 700kbps. Does that mean the fido network is slow??? Please advice thanks!
If you are successfully connected to our 3G or 4G network, you should be getting much higher than 30 Kbps speeds. When connected to Wi-Fi, you're connected to a completely separate network. The best thing to try is your SIM in another phone to see if you have the same issue.
