I'm outside of Canada with unlocked Galaxy Note4.

I'm in Korea and I've unloced my Galaxy note 4.

I got a prepaid plan and bought a new SIM card.

But, i couldn't use it because my phone was set up the SIM card password.

Even though, I've never set up the any password for SIM card.

I asked to cellphone store cleck, she told me " It's locked from "Fido."

I really wanna know how to use my note in Korea.

Please, let know about it, when you got how to solve this problem.

thank you.

Hello Luckyguy,

  Welcome to the community!

As Kapable noted above, a network lock and SIM password are two different things. Where did you purchase your phone? Was it unlocked when when you purchased it or did you have it unlocked?

The SIM password is specific to the SIM and therefore any default PIN would be specific to the provider of your new SIM. For example, the default SIM PIN for Fido is 3436 (spells FIDO). You should ask your provider in Korea what their default PIN is. Using Fido's default PIN will likely not work. If the wrong SIM PIN is entered too many times, it may become locked and require a Pin Unlocking Key (PUK or Personal Unblocking Code, PUC), also provided by the SIM privider.

  Hope this helps Smiley

Cheers

@Luckyguy A SIM password is different from a network lock. The reason you unlock a phone is to remove the network lock. How did you get the Note 4 unlocked was it done through Fido?
