I am puzzled by my data usage, hope someone can help me out. Basically I was on my couch, watching TV with my iphone connected to wifi on a Sunday, didn't even leave the house when I got 3 messages in a row saying I am 90%, 100% and over my data. So surprised by the text as my phone only showed I used 2.4G, i called fido automatic system, it told me and then sent a message to me saying I still have 1.09G left. Regardless, I turned off my data because it is just too weird. One hour later I got 2 messages in a row again, saying I am $30 over and $50 over.  

 

How can there be such mixed messages and my data being used while connecting to wifi (wifi assist off) and different from internal tracker? Hi, I suspect that your phone got disconnected from your wifi for some reason and it connected to your data network. because I had this happen to me one time, i was browsing youtube on wifi and all in sudden after I have finished from browsing, I seen the phone is displaying LTE instead of wifi so i checked my wifi connection it was disconnected.  so to be on the safe side always disable data on your phone when you wanna use it with heavy videos, in case the wifi got disconnected this way the video will stop fetching and then it will stop playing.

@Yqin24 do you currently have any data promotions on your account? I had a similar situation I have 2gb of data and a 1gb promo when I went pass my 2gb Fido billed me for overage and I had to get them to correct it. If you have any data promotion on your account you might be experiencing the same situation.

thanks for your reply. nope, i have 4G plan included in the plan. The problem is I have no clue how it showed I used 2.6G while my data is turned off even. It says at 1:59 that I am 91% over while the other text at 2:10 tells me I have 1G left (75% usage) and one hour later i am $50 over??

Looks like Fido system is glitching out, a moderator here will have to look into your account and make sure everything is ok.
