I upgraded my phone yesterday, how do I know if I got the extra 3gb of data?

Welcome to the Community!

 

You would see the bonus in the details of the plan and add-ons active on your line. You can see it when you log in your Fido online account, and go to Usage & Services > Mobile > Select your phone number if you have multiple lines on the account.

The 3GB bonus will remain on your plan for as long as you keep the plan. Smiley

I'm Qualified Level 3

"3 GB data bonus available with new activation or phone upgrade on in-market 1 GB, 3 GB, 5 GB, 8 GB, and 10 GB Fido Pulse plans. Change of plan or phone upgrade following plan activation will terminate data bonus. Data bonus will be applied to your second or third bill following activation."

 

According to the text above, when my current agreement ends in 2 years and if I perform a phone upgrade aka sign a new agreement, I lose my bonus 3GB data.

 

That is, I take a 2 year agreement today (June 2018-June 2020). July 2020 sign new agreement get a new phone, bonus data is then terminated. That is how I read the full terms of this offer.

I just got the confirmation, the 3 GB bonus will not drop after a hardware upgrade unless you change your plan when when doing it.

I verified and the info we have on our side is that you'd be able to keep the 3 GB bonus as long as you don't make changes to your plan, so you wouldn't lose it by doing a hardware upgrade.  I believe what they mean in the terms would be that, if someone upgrades their phone and changes their plan after getting the offer, they'd lose the bonus. 

 

I did ask for more clarifications though!  I'll update you when I have more info! Smiley
