Expect Rogers Enable offline FM Radio on their phone

Most smart phone has  built-in FM radio chip. The same model sold in Asian or other market has a built-in FM app.  However most US and Canadian Carrier select to disable it , the reason is simple, carriers hope you use streaming data to listen to radio on their phone.

FM radio is important during a disaster, while cell phone network might out of order.

Now phone users in USA successfully rallied their carrier to re-enable FM radio on their phone.

Here is their success:

As a over 10 years customer of Fido/Rogers, I expect Fido/Roger would be able to unlock the FM Radio on the phone.

Another thing that Canadian providers do to further stick it to us. Paying some of highest rates in world and still want to force the use of streaming apps when the free option is there. I say enable this option immediately.
