Error when attempting to change phone number

I'm attempting to change my phone number on-line from a Vancouver # to a Toronto # and avoid a $35 charge in the process. However, your system will not allow me to do so.  I keep getting that message saying "OH-OH! Some error occurred. Please try again later."

Are there any acutal solutions other than having to call in and talk to someone? I have attempted to you different browsers.

HELP! Please

It was solved over the phone with a fido specialist. For those with the same problem, if you're changing your number to work in another province, the plan must exist in both provinces for it to work. Apparently there are cheaper plans in Quebec and Ontario. I had to remove my Ontario plan, change my number, and then add a BC plan.

Good morning @keishady

Thanks for reaching out to the Community Smiley I'd love to help with this!

From your web browser (Google Chrome) could you please try the following:

- Clear the cache files from your web browser + delete the cookies

I'd suggest either using Internet Explorer, or Google Chrome for this.

Once that's done, I would invite you to try again Smiley

Can you tell me if the error message still appears?

I've read all the suggestions and tried them before asking for help. Nothing has worked. Any other suggestions?

Thanks for trying that out Smiley We never know; it sometimes does the trick!

No new suggestions for the meantime, so I'll send you a PM to discuss this further!

Any luck here @FidoCatherine,  I am having the same problem!

Hi @tomb,

Welcome to the Community Smiley

Are you getting the same error message? Did you try clearing your cache and cookies and/or try through through a different browser?

Hey @tomb !

Has this been resolved? Were you able to change the number after clearing your cache and cookies or trying another browser?
