Creamy Mushroom Sauce

1 Tablespoon butter

2 Tbs oil

5 cups of mushrooms halved & sliced

2 sprigs of fresh thyme

2 cloves garlic crushed

1 cup cream

1 sup milk with 3 tsp corn flour or corn starch

1 - 2 tsp lemon juice

2 Tablespoons parsley

 

Heat butter & oil

Add mushrooms & thyme + salt & pepper

Fry until golden, then add garlic & fry for 5 mins.

Add corn flour or corn starch to milk, stir.

Add milk combination to mushrooms and simmer for 5 mins or until thickened. 

Season with salt & pepper.

Top with parsley and lemon juice.

- Forgot to mention that this recipe is not really a "get-together-type".. but it spices up just about any dish you might want to offer in an impromptu manner.
