Charged a $556 Cancellation fee when I changed my Plan

Swithced from my old plan over the xmas break to the 10GB for $60 deal. Was told I would have to pay off the remainder of my payments for my phone, agreed to it and now recieved a bill for $556 for the cost of the phone and a arbitrary cancellation charge conventielty for the exact same amount at $556. Add another $120 in tax and my bill of last month of $55 is now $1300. What in the actual hell.

Hi @MoeHoveyda sorry to hear you have a salty bill  

As you knew the phone balance needed to be paid to enable you to get the byop (bring your own phone) $60 deal.

Also since your 2 year contract was finished earlier there is a cancellation fee and tax. 

 

I suggest you to try having a bit more time to pay and save some interest  divide that billing in 2-3 ask for an arrangements with billing department.

 

In the long run the phone is yours now and a great plan forward.
