I know this is an old post but I thought I'd throw you all an update. 

Changing your number online is now possible! 

You can complete this in My Account under the Services tab and it's free of change when you make the change online.

Due to the Fido.ca revamp, there are still transactions that can't be done on Fido.ca, like changing your phone number.

For that, you can stay updated here
