My daughter is going to university out of province. She would like to change her Fido number to a local one, but the plans in that province are more expensive than in her current one? Can she keep her plan even with a phone # from another province?

Hey @Kro29!
Great question
If she changes her number, she would have to take a plan that is for the same province as the number she's changing to. It's unfortunately not possible to keep a plan from one province if the number is not from that same province.
Alternatively, she can always keep her number and plan as is! Our newer plans all have Canada-Wide calling, so she won't be affected by keeping her number. Keep in mind that if those calling her don't have a Canada-Wide plan though, they may be charged.
Hope this info helps!
