Can't receive calls/text messages

Hi I bought my phone (samsung galaxy s6) from fido in June.

At least for the past month or so, for the most of the time I can't receive calls/text messages.

It seems to be working right after I restart the phone or send some text message out. But then shortly after that, it stops working again. 

I missed a lot of calls and many messages came late.

 

Another thing, I'm not sure if it is related to the same problem. I live in Burnaby, but the gps location in the weather forecast is north vancouver (sometimes is burrard). Is there any reason for this?

 

What should I do?

I cant recive calls abou one month...

Hi guys, 

 

Same problem here for about a month now.... it is getting frustrating now. 

First thing this morning when I woke up was to check for the software update and there it was, 

the long awaited update that will make my s6 edge come back to life. 

After updating the phone, still can't send any text messages even if i turned off my LTE network.

Good point, I apologize for my hasty response. 

 

Peterle87, Can you try tunring the phone off for 5 minutes and then turning it back on and see if the messages are working?

Update: 

 

I did turn of the phone for 5 minutes like you said, i even left it off for 15 minutes. 

After turning it on, still the same problem; can't send or receive any sms, nor receive any voice call..

Hi There, I've also been having dropped calls, slow texting and no data since September. I'm still experiencing the exact same issues with my phone, even after upgrading to 5.1.1. How can I resolve this? Do I have to wait another 2 months for you to roll out a second update?

And the software number: Where would I find that? I can't seem to see anything written Software number excepted the Android Version 5.1.1
