CHANGING PLAN ONLINE! Fido customer care and chat support unable to help!

I received a promotional offer in my gmail few weeks ago about upgraing my plan and the offer is really good. 

I got to know that this offer should be activated through 'change my plan' tab under  ' My Account'. All I am supposed to do is 'select' the plan and then press 'Checkout'. As soon as I am pressing checkout, it says

@monish88 near the upper-right corner of the page, you should see you icon with a "1" on it. If you click it, a menu should slide in. You'll see an enveloppe, also with a "1" on it. Click it to get to your private messages.
