Butter Chicken Recipe

 

Ingredients

  • Chicken Breast [cut in cubes]
  • 1.5 handfuls Cashews
  • 2 spoons Oil
  • 1 tbs Tandori spice
  • 1 tbs Butter chicken spice
  • Salt
  • Cayenne pepper
  • Pepper flakes
  • Butter
  • 3⁄4 cup Whipped cream
  • Small Onion
  • Can of tomatoes
  • Coriander
  • Lemon juice

1. Marinate the Chicken (min 2 hrs ) using Shan Butter Chicken Mix (https://www.shanfoods.com/product/recipe-mixes/stir-fried/butter-chicken/)
2. Place 2 spoons of oil in the pot & turn the stove on
3. Add marinated chicken, allow it to cook on low heat, with an open lid
4. Peel the small onion
5. Using a knife make 4 insertions into the onion. Place it in water and microwave for 1 minute, the
onion will turn a different colour
6. Place the onion and water into the blender and blend into a mushy paste
7. Once the chicken is cooked add in the onion paste
8. Add the butter chicken spice and the tandoori spice
9. Add 1 large spoon of tomatoes (from the can)
10. Blend the cashew in the blender and blend to a fine powder
11. Add about 1/4 cup of water to the blended cashews and make a paste
12. Add the cashew paste and the whipping cream to the butter chicken
13. Add salt and cayenne pepper, mix well
14. Add a small chunk of butter and some chopped coriander
15. Add a squirt of lemon juice
16. And if needed some water to thin
