I get my Fido bill electronically, but constantly find that it lacks details. If there is some exstra billing, I cant find out what it is for and I can never find any details of calls I have made that are charged as exstra or why they are. Getting a bill just stating what I owe is not enough. Trying to get details by clicking on "billing" produces no results.

Did you get a chance to download the PDF version of you bill. From there, you will find all the details you need.
Not only the balance and the payment date.
You will see the details of your outgoing calls as well.
