3/4 cup milk
1 egg, beaten
3/4 cup flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup grated carrots
2 green onions, finely chopped
1 cup bean sprouts, finely choppped
1 garlic clove, diced
1 tsp grated ginger
1 tsp Asian-style hot chili sauce
2 tbs vegetable oil
1/2 cup hoisin sauce.

Whisk eggs and milk.  Whisk dry ingredients then mix with wet just
until combined.  Stir in the veg's, garlic, ginger and chili sauce.
Heat oil on a large griddle over medium heat.   Spoon on approx. 2
inch round portions of batter.  Flip once when they begin to bubble.
(1-2 minutes per side).  (I found if they were big, they didn't cook
thru in just 1-2 minutes, so eat a tester-:)
Arrange pancakes on a tray, daub with hoisin and garnish with pea,
daikon or whatever sprouts.

You can cook ahead, and reheat at 300F for 10 minutes, garnish with
hoisin and sprouts before serving.
