Acer Liquid E not registered with Android Market?

I've been looking at reviews of the Acer Liquid E and some say that it's not registered with the Android Market,  so you can't download any protected apps.

Hi dave99,

 

I did a bit a digging around and this does not seem to be something our Tier 2 is aware of.

 

To get this fixed we need to have a ticket opened so we can then escalate this to Acer. I do not see any such master ticket yet.

 

I recommend calling in or speaking with our Live chat so we can get this escalated. Once we have enough examples that should get the ball rolling faster. If you get a ticket number PM it to me so we can monitor this.

I don't have the phone so I can't really confirm the issue and open a ticket.  I was/am considering buying it but I read reviews that mention this problem and wanted to get more information straight from the source (i.e. you guys).

Do as FidoJean recommended.  Phone Fido support or use their live chat and explain the problem.

I tried explaining the problem to a customer service representative last week, but when she asked her coach about it, the coach dismissed my concern, saying Android Market issues were Google's problem, not Fido's. How can I overcome this objection?
