Acer Android 2.2 (Froyo)

Does anyone know when 2.2 (Froyo) will be officially released?

Looks like it's available now.  This was just posted to the FidoMobile Twitter feed:

Re: Acer Android 2.2 (Froyo)

Someone at the Vancouver flagship store (481 Robson) told me last week that the Liquid will be updated to 2.2 in January.

Re: Acer Android 2.2 (Froyo)

I tried updating my Liquid E to Froyo using the instructions included in the downloaded file. But I get an assertion fail and the installation aborts.

I currently have the following build number installed: Acer_LiquidE_1.100.79_PA_FIDO

APN Version: 1.96-3

Product SKU: PA-FIDO

Device info version: 2.1

Here is the recovery log:

Re: Acer Android 2.2 (Froyo)

Have you tried to update with a newly formatted sd card? That's what finally worked for me. I don't know if I had the same error messages but I thought I bricked my phone the first time I tried to update.

Do you remember, roughly, what your error was?

Re: Acer Android 2.2 (Froyo)

Does your Bluetooth function still work? I loaded 2.2 and can no longer connect to bluetooth. Read on several forums this is a common problem.
