No, I was not able to update online. I had to call in. It took a while to get in via phone on Dec 19th. I did finally get connected and after a long wait, I got connected to a representative. Very helpful she was. I did get my requested new contract for the $60.00 with a 10GB Data Plan. I was so glad to hear they extended the timeline.
What really surprises me is that Fido indicates that you can upgrade online and then doesn't allow you to do so. The process was very frustrating, not able to phone, as it was overwhelmed and not able to update online, really something needed to work! I'm really hoping this was a one-off issue and Fido has learned from this process and will come up with a better plan to allow their customers to access the promos as Fido had indicated; online.
