What exactly is included in the plan? I see unlimited talk and text but is voicemail and call display included? If not how much extra is it?
I just signed up for this plan, but on my account page, It shows that I only have 5gb of data available. Where is the other 5GB that i'm supposed to get with this plan?!
the other 5 giga bytes is a bonus.
to launch the plan as fast as possible, they had to put the extra data into a bonus and not part of the base plan, but its a permanent bonus as long as u keep this plan they can not take away the bonus. but it might not show up online for price plan changes only new activations perhaps
There are other factors that might cause someone to change their plan down the road so for example if u suddenly realise your handset is broken and u need a new one and dont want to spend over a thousand dollars for the outright price that smart phones are being sold for, you might want to go ona 2 year term and get the phone for a reduced price, if thats the case u will have to change plans down the road or go onto the $85 10 gig plan wihch gives u a discounted phone every 2 years
Hello @Ryanarmas
Welcome tot he community!
This is what is included in the plan.
- Unlimited Canada-wide anytime calls
- 10 GB
- Unlimited text/picture/video msgs from Canada to Canadian, U.S. and international cells
- Call Display (Number only)
- Mini Voicemail (max 3 msgs, can be upgraded to 35 msgs)
- Data Bytes
- Fido Roam
So I select the $60 5gb plan and the other 5gb will get added on after a couple of billing cycles?
Here is another catch 22, once people have a mishap and realize they need a new phone, then they call in to do an upgrade, they will be in for a big surprise that they can not keep this plan when they want to go on a 2 year term, so fido knows that a good chunk of ppl on this plan will want to upgrade their device at one point and will loose the 10 gig plan altogether, and because the plan was limited time offer, cant get it back
@Paolo I think by now everyone is familiar with what a BYOP plan is so if they ever need to get a phone from the provider in the future they should know the plan does not qualify.
a lot of people at my work were surprised to find out when i mentioned it to them, its important to know, im going to mention it, if they dont care they can simply ignore what i said.
