No offense, but we're not looking for bandaid solutions here... IPAD/ASUS/Samsung/ Balckberry all have LTE tablets. I currentlyown an Ipad, and would like to puchase a BB playbook lte for the car. Data sharing is a must as I can't be bothered tethering.

Telus or Rogers, is lookingpretty appealing to me.

Actually, I am having the 6GB data plan, but FIDO does not allow me to use the hotspot feature (tethering) on my phone!! I called in twice and they just say my case is under review, and it has been 3 weeks already!!! One of the representatives even told me this feature is not available to my 6GB data plan and would be available to the 500mb plan?! However, my brother who has a 500mb data plan also called in another day as to trying to ask FIDO to open this hotspot feature for him, but his representative said that tethering is not available for a 500mb plan!!

27 days until I move my service. After 10 years with Fido I'm ready to leave over this issue. I have my own phone and tablet (they're unlocked as well) and no contract. November is the start of moving. First the phone then the tablet. The answers on sharing in this thread are nothing more than dodging the issue. Passing a request on when they know they should already be offering it is not an answer. I can only deduce that Fido will not be offering it or it will be at a rate that is unsatisfactory. I'm tired of waiting on this issue.

I'd like to know if Fido will be getting data sharing too. My contract is up and I'd be interested in switching if I can save some money and not have to have a whole other plan for my tablets when I hardly use any data on my phone...

Well still no answer so I completed step one of my move. Step two occurs at the beginning of December and step three will be completed before the new year. Oh yeah step three will be that I'm gone.

I am also looking for this service. It should be offered. I am definitely leaving Fido when my contract is up. Please bring this service to your customers!

This is another reason why I can't wait to change carriers. My last post which had a more positive tone was deleted by the thread moderator.

I was told by the Fido rep that this feature was not available on fido as it is the "lower end" wireless provider of rogers and that this feature is available in there premium offerings with Rogers. This is why wireless competition is a good thing and why companies like wind mobile are needed in Canada. As soon as my contract is up, I will go to another carrier, and it won't be Rogers.

For how long do fido reps keep parroting thanks for your comments, we will keep you posted. This has been going on for 2 years, and in reality, they aren’t listening. They are segmenting markets and pretending to have competition in Canada by selling subpar products through there lower end subsidiary (fido).

Where is data sharing? It won't be with fido so I guess change carriers!
