Hey there I have an iPhone and recently purchased an iPad. Is tethering through a hotspot possible with Fido and is there any fees associated with this? Also I need to increase my data and my boyfriend is on the Bell network with a 6gig data plan for around $30 which I have been tethering using. Does Fido offer anything like this?
Yes, Fido has the same $30/6GB data option. Call them up and ask them to add it. It may still be available through regular customer service as a promo but it is also always available through customer relations if you mention you are not happy with your current data service. It does allow tethering with no additional cost.
When I called in to request that as I was certainly not happy with $30 for 1Gb when a collegue has 6Gb for same price, I was told that 6Gb is only available on contract. Don't know if that has changed.
