Hi all,

Does anybody have any idea whether Fido is getting the Samsung Galaxy Note which is already available with Bell, Rogers and Telus.

Re: Is Fido Getting Samsung Galaxy Note?

I am close to the end of my contract, and a Galaxy Note is the only device that will keep me with Fido. Hopefully Fido will have them before my term comes to an end.

Re: Is Fido Getting Samsung Galaxy Note?

I am looking at moving my accounts as well... Will wait another week or two. Telus is offering the G note with LTE. Hard to resist. Also at Rogers...funny that Fido isn't offering the same given that their parent company is Rogers.

Re: Is Fido Getting Samsung Galaxy Note?

Telus recently launched some promotional plans that includes Caller ID and voicemail ,which i find pretty good. I called up Fido regarding this, but they say, they don't have any idea about the launch of G Note.

Re: Is Fido Getting Samsung Galaxy Note?

my contract is up this summer. If fido doesnt get more high end android smartphones such as the Note or Galaxy S2, or S3 (when that comes out) i am moving to telus.

Fido great service, but terrible selection of high end smartphones that run on droid

Not on a contract with Fido, never been on a contract. I might move anytime. But just waiting , whether they will show any signs of carrying the Galaxy note.

Re: Is Fido Getting Samsung Galaxy Note?

Hi FidoStephane, Not sure why Fido can't confirm whether or not they will carry the Galaxy Note...? It is a cross-platform unit that obviously works perfectly on Rogers shared network. I am questioning why they have to be so criptic about testing this particular unit. Already confirmed on various sites by multiple users that it does work on the Fido network. I would just like to know (and I am sure others as well) if Fido will eventually carry the popular unit so I can make an informed decision on either staying with Fido or moving my accounts. Don't get me wrong, Fido has been great to me for the last 5 or so years but you would think consumer choice in todays competing cell markets should push the company to offer as many different models of phones as possible. Cheers!

Re: Is Fido Getting Samsung Galaxy Note?

Exactly What i got to say. I had seen posts on the internet that the Galaxy note bought from Rogers just works on Fido, out of the box. I am with Fido for the past 3 years, never had any problems with them, very good service too. Hoping that they would start carrying it soon.
