I had just changed my plan from one consisting of 4gb of data to one with 8gbs of data and now my data is not working at all and I don' know why

maybe the data is blocked on either the sim card (fido end to fix), or the data is block on your mobile phone. goto fido store get new sim card .

That doesn't sound right. Are you getting an error message when you try to use data? Is your phone showing 3G/4G/LTE?
Can you also let me know whether you tried to restart your phone since the issue started?
